ABOUT ME
Qingling Zhang is a Production Designer, Concept Artist, and Art Director based in London. She specialises in world-building, visual storytelling, and crafting character-driven environments. Her work is grounded in a deep exploration of colour, architecture, and cultural symbolism, with a strong passion for bringing authentic Asian and Chinese aesthetics into Western cinema. She creates visually rich and emotionally resonant worlds that enhance narrative impact.
As a concept artist, Qingling has contributed to major studio productions including 007: No Time to Die, Knives Out: Glass Onion and Wake Up Dead Man, Venom, Death on the Nile, Disney’s Snow White, and House of the Dragon. She has collaborated closely with legendary production designers such as Rick Heinrichs (Sleepy Hollow), Adam Stockhausen (The Grand Budapest Hotel), Dennis Gassner (Blade Runner 2049), Mark Tildesley (No Time to Die), and Jim Clay (House of the Dragon).
Qingling’s production design work has screened internationally and earned critical recognition. High Wire premiered at the BFI London Film Festival. SHÉ (SNAKE) premiered at TIFF, won the Audience Award, and went on to screen at Sundance and SXSW. Solar Plexus was selected for Cannes Cinéfondation and earned her a nomination for Best Production Design at the Watersprite Film Festival. The Pregnant Ground was selected for the Palm Springs International Film Festival and other globally recognised festivals.
